Manufacture/delivery — Dispatch received a call on April 16 about a disturbance in the 400 block North Branch Street. The disturbance was over a child custody issue. The male was arrested for two warrants and manufacturing and delivering of a controlled substance penalty group 1.
Theft — An officer was dispatched on April 14 to a business in the 800 block of East Houston Street in reference to the victim getting his wallet stolen on the day prior. A theft of property under $100 report was generated.
Theft — A Sherman PD Officer was dispatched on April 14 to the 400 block of West Belden in regards to a burglary of a vehicle report. Upon investigation, it was determined forced entry was made into multiple vehicles and property was stolen. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.
Theft — Officers were dispatched on April 14 to the 1600 block of La Salle Drive in reference to a theft. The victim stated a phone and ring were taken from his apartment. The victim advised approximately $700 worth of items were taken. A report for theft of property between $100 and $750 was taken for the incident. As of this time, the investigation is ongoing.
Burglary — An officer made telephone contact on April 14 with a female complainant in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. A suspect gained entry into the complainant’s vehicle sometime between April 13-14. The vehicle is a 2012 black four-door Ford Taurus. At the time the incident occurred, the vehicle was unlocked and parked on the street in front of the residence. The complainant resides in the 200 block of North Colbert. A report for burglary of vehicle was generated.
Theft — An officer made telephone contact on April 14 with a male reporting a theft. A white male entered the store located in the 1900 block of Texoma Parkway on April 13. Once inside the store the suspect removed a tip jar located on the front counter which contained approximately $30. A report for theft was generated.
Assault — Sherman Police Department received a call on April 14 in reference to an assault in the 4200 block of Texoma Parkway. When police arrived it was found an assault had occurred. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. An offense report was generated for assault causes bodily injury to a family member.
Aggravated assault — An officer was dispatched on April 14 to the 3000 block of Northridge Road in reference to a disturbance. The suspect had threatened her mother with a meat fork and had also been in a physical altercation. The officer spoke with the suspect who said there was a verbal altercation and was assaulted by her mother. After speaking with other family members, the suspect was placed under arrest for aggravated assault to a date/family/household member with a weapon and transported to GCSO.
Burglary — Sherman dispatch received a call on April 15 from a male located in the 300 block of West Burton Street. The caller reported his lawn mower was stolen from his unsecured garage. A report was taken for burglary of a habitation.
Assault — Sherman Police responded on April 15 to the 1500 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to an assault. The victim advised she was upset her husband was throwing away her food. She also said he assaulted her the day before. A report for assault causing bodily injury — family violence was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call on April 15 about an intoxicated driver traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 75. Officers located the vehicle in the 2600 North U.S. Highway 75 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated third or more offense.
Evading arrest — An officer conducted a traffic stop on April 16 on the 400 block of North Crockett Street. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the area at a high rate of speed. A report for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle or watercraft was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer was dispatched on April 16 to the 2900 block of North US Highway 75 in regards to a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who observed the suspect drive into parking lot and exit the vehicle. The officer located the suspect inside the store. He admitted to having a few alcoholic beverages before driving the vehicle. After a thorough investigation, the officer arrested the suspect for driving while intoxicated, second offense and a report was generated.
Assault — Sherman Police officers were dispatched on April 16 to the 400 block of West Middleton Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers spoke with all involved parties who claimed an assault. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
