Assault — An officer spoke to a resident in the 600 block of South Montgomery on April 12 who advised he was assaulted by a known male in the 600 block of South Walnut Street over a dispute about mowing grass. A report for assault causing bodily injury was generated.
Theft — An officer made telephone contact on April 12 with a woman about theft of service. In speaking with the woman, it was learned a female suspect had contacted a local restaurant located in the 2300 block of North Loy Lake. According to the reporting party, on two seperate occasions, the female suspect placed food orders online using credit cards that were returned to the restaurant as fraudulent charges. A report for theft of service was generated.
Burglary — An officer was flagged down in the 800 block South Willow Street on April 12 in reference to a burglary of a vehicle that occurred in the 900 block East Summit Street. The owner said his stereo and speakers were stolen the previous night. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.
Terroristic threat — Sherman Police Department dispatched an officer on April 12 to the 900 block of North Grand Avenue in reference to terroristic threats. Upon arrival, it was found that the victim received texts messages, threatening her life. A report was made for terroristic threat. The investigation is ongoing.
Disorderly conduct — an officer was dispatched on April 12 to the 1700 block of South Heritage Parkway in regards to a male walking around in the nude. Officers responded to the area, but were unable to locate the individual. A report was generated for disorderly conduct/exposure.
Search warrant — A search warrant was secured and executed on April 12 after receiving information about drug activity at a residence in the 900 block of West Walker. The suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana over two ounces.
Burglary — Personnel at a store in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75 said on April 12 that there was a man laying in the floor of the men’s bathroom and was unresponsive. The man was arrested for public intoxication and burglary of a building.
Suspicious person — Officers responded to a call on April 12 of a male in the 4400 block of North U.S. Highway 75 that kept asking to use the telephone and they wanted him to leave. The suspect was arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and failure to identify/give false/fictitious information.
