The Grayson County Commissioners Court will review and decide whether to proceed with plans for the installation of a new water main in Whitesboro at the court’s regular meeting on Tuesday.

The request for construction comes from Two Way Special Utility District and seeks permission to bore underneath a section of Turkey Farm Road, north of U.S. Highway 82. The water line is meant to provide potable water to at least three new rural residences in Precinct 3. The proposed start date for the project is currently listed as March 28.

Members of the court will also discuss and decide whether to purchase electric power through P3, an Austin-based electricity purchasing cooperative, or through the Texas General Land Office. The county’s current electric power supply contract ends on December 31, 2019.

The commissioners court meets at 10 a.m. in the Grayson County Courthouse, located at 100. W. Houston Street in Sherman.
