A man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed in Denison Tuesday night.

Police said 31-year-old Daniel Parks, of Denison, was riding his motorcycle on the southbound service road near the Denison Walmart, south of FM 120. While driving onto the U.S. Highway 75 southbound on-ramp, Mr. Parks lost control and crashed.

“It looks like he hit a curb there as he was on that ramp and it caused him to lose control,” Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler said.

Mr. Parks, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off his bike, Eppler said. Justice of the Peace Larry Atherton pronounced Mr. Parks dead at the scene of the crash. An autopsy was not ordered and no other vehicles were involved.

Southbound Highway 75 traffic was not affected by the crash.
