DALLAS — Amanda Brown and Zachary Woosley, both of Denton, were wed Nov. 2 at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake in Dallas. Officiating was Aaron Brown, brother of the bride.

DALLAS — Amanda Brown and Zachary Woosley, both of Denton, were wed Nov. 2 at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake in Dallas. Officiating was Aaron Brown, brother of the bride.


The bride is the daughter of Giles and Carol Ann Brown of Sherman. Her grandparents are Esther Brown and the late Loren Brown of Hutchinson, Kan., and the late Skinner and Rowena Mobley of Little Rock, Ark. She is a 2001 graduate of Sherman High School, a 2005 graduate of Harding University and a 2008 graduate of the Duke University School of Law. She works as an assistant public defender in the Dallas County Public Defender’s office.


The groom is the son of Lloyd and Connie Woosley of Eustis, Fla. His grandparents are Jean Kasper of Kissimmee, Florida, the late Dan Autrey, the late Minnie Hayes and the late Lloyd H. Woosley Sr. He is a 1998 graduate of Austin Westlake High School and is a writer for SB Nation.com.


Maid of honor was Jennifer McGinnis of Greensboro, North Carolina and bridesmaid was Sarah Nagelbush of Clawson, Michigan.


The groom’s honor attendant was Linda Young of McKinney and the groomsman was Josh Guesman of Los Angeles, Calif.


The parents of the bride and groom were hosts to a reception at Winfrey Point.


The couple resides in Denton after a cruise to Mexico.


Pre-wedding events included a shower hosted by the women of Western Heights Church of Christ.
