BONHAM — Neglect of stroke victims will the topic of this month’s Fannin Partners In Education (F-P.I.E.) presentation on Jan. 29. The 2 p.m. program will be at the TEAM Center, 806 West 16th Street in Bonham and is free and open to the public. Complimentary pie will be served.

BONHAM — Neglect of stroke victims will the topic of this month’s Fannin Partners In Education (F-P.I.E.) presentation on Jan. 29. The 2 p.m. program will be at the TEAM Center, 806 West 16th Street in Bonham and is free and open to the public. Complimentary pie will be served.


Presenting "Phenomenon of Neglect After a Stroke" will be Misty Hayes, an occupational therapist at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham. She will discuss the occurence of neglect following a CVA or stroke and will describe different types of neglect. Hayes will be giving examples of the functional impact neglect may have in the daily lives of stroke survivors and will demonstrate strategies used to adapt to this condition.
