PVES benefit


POTTSBORO — A concert by the Florida Boys, benefitting Preston Volunteer Emergency Services, is set for 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the Pottsboro High School auditorium. Proceeds will go into the PVES general fund to help with costs of equipment and operations.


Advance adult tickets are $10 and advance children’s tickets (children under age 12) are $5. Pre-school and younger children will be admitted free of charge. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the PVES. Tickets will also be available at the door at a slightly higher fee.

AARP Driving Class


DURANT — An American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) driving class will be offered from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Dec. 30. The class will be at the Robert T. Davis SEnior Center, 301 N. 16th in Durant and is being sponsored by the Bryan County Retired Senior Volunteer Program.


The driving course consists of four hours of classroom instruction. It is open to licensed Oklahoma drivers of all ages.
