BONHAM — A special Black History Month presentation and celebration will be held this Thursday in Bonham by the VA North Texas health Care System. The event will be from 11 a.m. until noon in the auditorium of the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, 1201 East 9th Street. It is free and open to the public.

A performance by the Bonham High School Theatre Department will highlight this year’s theme, "Civil Rights in America." Guest speaker, Antron Patton, is a United States Army veteran and works in engineering service at the Bonham VA. He also serves as youth ministry director at his church where he develops and oversees holistic programs for children.
