The CAC Kidz Krew performing arts program has begun preparations for its spring play, slated to open March 27. This year’s play will center around the escapades of Robin Hood and there are parts for kids of all ages. The play was written by Lisa Avila, director of the CAC.

The Performing Arts Program is open to children from age 6 up to 20. The Little Kidz Krew meeting on Wednesdays from 3:45 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and the fee is $15 per month. Older children meet from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the fee is $46 per month. Scholarships are available.

Performing arts classes aid youngsters in learning how to speak more comfortably in front of a group, how to project clearly, how to work as part of a team and how to analyze plots and develop characters. Backstage, they learn organization, building, costuming and other skills. Rehearsals help build a sense of responsibility toward their teammates.

For information, to sign up for the Kidz Krew or to reserve seats for the dinner or art parties, call or go by the CAC.
