BELLS — Food, music, shopping, a parade and Santa will highlight the annual Bells Christmas parade and festival on Dec. 7.


The festival begins as 12:30 p.m. at Bells City Hall. Food and merchandise vendors will be on hand. Entertainment will be provided by local singers and dancers.


The parade gets underway at 2 p.m., with the parade line-up beginning in Roger Sanders Park. The parade will travel from the park down South Broadway past city hall and end at Main Street. Cash prizes for floats will be $125 for first place, $100 for second place and $75 for third place. A prize of $25 will go to the best decorated vehicle, walking group and costumed dog. Following the parade, Santa will be at city hall to visit with children and present each with a small gift. Parents/guardians are encouraged to bring their own cameras and take photos of their children with Santa.


Entry forms for the parade and vendor spaces are available at Bells City Hall. All entry forms must be returned to city hall by Dec. 3. For more information, call 903-965-7744.


The Bells Beautification Committee will be judging the best decorated home and street on Dec. 5. Anyone wishing their home to be included in the judging will need to contact city hall and leave the address.
