Robert "Bob" and Carol Ann (Webb) Moore of Sherman recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 8, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sherman by William B. Johnson, church pastor.

Robert "Bob" and Carol Ann (Webb) Moore of Sherman recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 8, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sherman by William B. Johnson, church pastor.


Carol Moore was born at the former Perrin Air Force Base in Denison, the daughter of E.O. and Ann Webb. She was raised by the Schumacher sisters and graduated from Gunter High School. She has worked as a teller or bookkeeper for 42 years at Grayson, Texoma National and American Banks and is currently employed with the First National Bank of Tom Bean.


Bob Moore was born in Sherman, the son of J.D. and Uel Dorcas "Ducky" Moore. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Moore, aided in his upbringing and he graduated from Gunter High School. He worked for Line Materials and Anderson Clayton, retired from Folgers Coffee after 19-plus years, and then retired from Sunny Delight Beverages Company.


The Moores have one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Ann and Justin Wright, and one granddaughter, all of Midlothian.
