Denison Rotary Club
The evolution of politics was the program topic at last year’s Denison Rotary Club meeting. Presenting the information was Bill Murchison, retired newspaper columnist. He was introduced by club president, Don Pershall.
Murchison worked with the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Times Herald as an editor. He has written several books about his experiences, as well. He discussed what liberty meant to the British and, later, to Americans, and gave historical information on one of the country’s founding fathers, John Dickenson. He believed that liberty was not developed by created by man, but was of God. He was a member of the Continental Congress, served in the military and was a member of the Constitutional Convention.
This week’s program will be a musical program by the students from St. Luke’s school.
