SHERMAN — Daniel House of Deliverance Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Sherman will host the federated choirs of Sherman at 3 p.m. Sunday at 2002 S. East St., Sherman. The special guest will be Charita Howard.


Howard is a native of Charles Town West Virginia and currently resides in Allen with her husband. Howard graduated from high school in Mannheim, Germany and attended the University of Texas in Arlington.


Howard has been a musician and choir director since the age of 11 and has held several positions as the minister of music throughout the world. In June 1997, Howard was licensed to preach. In August 2008, Howard and her husband formed the company, “Our Time Productions.” The company conducts Gospel Music Workshops with an emphasis on the importance and meaning of worship, teaching vocal lessons, creating instrumental tracks, and writing, producing and arranging music for upcoming gospel artists.


On August 5, 2014, Howard created the S.A.L.T. connection where Christian women are taught how to study the Bible and use their knowledge and life experience to teach and mentor other Christian women.
