BONHAM — Bethlehem Baptist Church the House of Bread is collecting school supply donations for victims of Hurricane Harvey from noon to 5 p.m. The drive began Sept. 13 and concludes Saturday.
The church is also collecting cleaning supplies. In a recent email, a church official wrote, “As the students and staff get back into the school year, we want to make things a little easier for them for the items they need for the remainder of the 17-18 semester.”
Items needed for donation include the following: backpacks, earbuds or headphones, flash drives, pocket folders with brads, composition notebooks, blank copier paper, graph paper, and notebook paper.
Also needed are No. 2 pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencil bags, ballpoint pens, glue sticks, glue bottles, highlighters, colored pencils, colored markers, rulers and index cards.
The drive is also collecting three-ring binders, sticky notes, packages of dividers, Scotch tape, colored construction paper, Clorox or Lysol wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer, and cleaning supplies.
