DENISON — Red River Unitarian Universalist Church will receive a video message from the Rev. Meg Barnhouse, minister at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Austin, at its 11:15 a.m. morning assembly Sunday.

In support of the congregation’s annual service auction, Barnhouse offered to write a special sermon based on three songs of the winner’s choosing. The family who won the bid selected three songs which are serving as the basis for Barnhouse’s message.

The morning begins with an hour of meditation at 9 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by the adult forum, currently exploring Native Peoples of North America, a Great Courses series.

A clothing swap fundraiser will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. People may bring gently worn women’s and men’s clothing, costume jewelry or vintage clothing. They will receive one token for each item brought in and can then pay one token for each item purchased. The cost to participate is $10. Participants may drop off their items from 6-9 p.m. Friday. Proceeds will benefit the Texoma earth day festival.

The congregation’s small group ministry, Moveable Feast Chalice Circle, will gather at Rustico Restaurant in Denison at 6 p.m. Thursday to explore the food of Chef Felipe Gaytan, a native of Ciudad Victoria, Tamalipas, Mexico.
