Class 2A all-state selections named

HERALD DEMOCRAT

Pilot Point senior Jarman Johnson was named the Offensive Player of the Year and the champion Bearcats were well represented on the 58th Annual Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A all-state team.

Johnson was also a first-team selection at running back along with tackle Cam Feldt, defensive lineman Carter Street and defensive back Justin Chambers.

Quarterback Seth Tilley and tackle Boone Feldt were also third-team selections.

Several other area players were also recognized. Leonard defensive lineman Tevin Daniels and Pottsboro kicker Cody Parton were second-team selections while Gunter running back Chad Tucker and Callisburg receiver Kevin Bartley named third-team all-state.

Callisburg quarterback Bobby Dorman and running back Langston Jones were honorable-mention selections along with Melissa defensive back Aaron Bush.

Daingerfield's Steve Edmond was the Defensive Player of the Year and Daingerfield's Barry Bowman was selected as the 2A Coach of the Year.
