DHS tickets on sale Tuesday
It's another week in the playoffs and that means tickets for another game are available.
Tickets for the Denison football team's playoff game against Dallas Conrad will go on sale Tuesday morning at the Denison ISD Administration Building, the Denison High School athletic office and Parks Drugs at 1926 W. Morton Street.
The Class 4A Division II Region II area round game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Hanby Stadium in Mesquite.
Tickets will be $6 for adults and $4 for students. All tickets sales at the gate will be $7.
Denison, which will be the home team against Conrad, opened the playoffs last week with a 61-28 bi-district victory over Richardson Pearce.

I completely dislike stadiums witht the track around them. I agree with JacketMaster that you feel too far from the action! My main concern is the injuries that happen because of it. Last year Aston Hughes and DJ both had bad experiences with the slick surface and didn't seem at 100% for Sulphur Springs. We Do NOT need injuries!! I hope the players have been warned. I also noticed in a college game and at Pizza Hut Park last week that they are putting some sort of slick surface around the benches on the field. Several college players have been hurt on it. Not a good idea...

Conrad : 11/18/2009
First of all, In it's 2nd year of existance, Conrad has a major lack of playoff experiance. The school has a diverse student body ( melting Pot) So, There should be some good Atheletes on the team. The school is located right east of Presb. Hospital on Walnut hill ,off of Central Expressway, This is a Sleeper school to watch for the next few years But, Not this year. Jackets 68..Conrad 21 because of the bench will be dumped in the 3rd period. Next week, Marshall or Corsicana.. Why Hanby Staium in SE Mesquite? Terrible location Cody, Play North of town in a stadium with no Track around the field, It pushes the fans even farther from the players..

What's Up With Hanby? : 11/18/2009
If Conrad is actually in the east Dallas vicinity, how is it fair that WE are travelling down there for a playoff game? Due to the slick track around the field and the potential injury to players, I would think we would avoid that kind of situation as Dr. Scott said after the game last year! WHY Hanby? And, for pete's sake... why Hanby the next week if we beat Conrad? If we are visitors, would our fans even fit in the stadium?? There is NO PLAYOFF ATMOSPHERE there whatsover!! Hanby... YUK!

The great unknown. : 11/17/2009
Since no one has asked yet, I'll bite. Who are these people? Yes, I know they are in their second year...yada...yada. What about their team? What do they do offensively and what kind of play makers do they have? Will the game be within 40:).....things like that? With the resources I have, I'm limited on Conrad knowledge! I would figure most others would be.
