Police reports

Durant Police

Car wreck and arrest -- June 5, 3:25 p.m., U.S. Highway 69/75 and U.S. Highway 70, A Chevrolet Blazer rolled over on an on-ramp and injured two juveniles. Police jailed the driver on a charge of reckless driving, driving without a license, leaving the scene of a wreck with injuries, and no insurance. The two juveniles, 13 and 14, were treated and released to their parents.

Wreck and arrest -- June 7, 4 p.m., North 3rd and University,  A 1992 Ford F350 struck a 1995 Buick. The driver of the truc was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. His two passengers were both arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

Recovered vehicle -- June 6, 4 p.m., Alley between 6th and 7th, A stolen car was recovered.

Juveniles caught with marijuana -- June 8, 5 a.m., Two males, ages 13 and 14, were arrested and charges with possession of marijuana. At the Durant police station, they were released to their parents.

Sherman Police

Burglary -- June 5, 1000 block South Charles, A woman reported to police that between midnight and 1:24 a.m. Friday, somebody went inside her house.

Burglary -- June 5, 1800 block West Washington, Between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, someone entered a vehicle and took tools and a CD player.

Burglary -- June 5, 100 block North Andrews, Between 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, someone went inside the complainant's house and took medication.

Burglary -- June 6, 1800 block West Washington, A thief took a cell phone from a vehicle.

Burglary -- June 7, 3200 block Rex Cruse, During a five-minute period early Sunday, somebody broke into a vehicle.

Burglary -- June 7, 2300 block West Taylor, Two men kicked their way into a residence, but then fled when they saw the resident at home.

Burglary -- June 7, 134 Sunset Boulevard, (Mobilex USA), Between 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday, someone broke out the window of a business, then got inside and removed property.

Burglary -- June 8, 300 block North Grand, The side windows of a van were broken out and a stereo taken.

Burglary -- June 8, 200 block Sunset Boulevard, A vehicle burglarized, no information provided on what was taken or its value or how entry was made.

Burglary -- June 8, 2400 block Texoma Parkway, The complainant stated he arrived home and found his front door pried open and several medications missing from inside his residence.

Burglary -- June 9, 1700 Park Place, Police were dispatched because of three people possibly breaking into a vehicle.

Assault -- June 5, 1800 block West Washington, A woman reported that another woman had punched her in the face three times during an argument. 

Assault -- June 8, 800 block South Travis, A complainant told police that her stepbrother had assaulted her because she wouldn't tell him where his former wife was. 

Deadly Conduct -- June 8, 600 block East Taylor, A caller said she had been involved in a wreck and the other vehicle had fled the scene. A Sherman man, 47, was jailed on five charges, including deadly conduct and driving while license invalid with a previous conviction.

Disorderly conduct, window peeping -- June 9, 1600 block Lasalle, A 44 year-old-man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct for peeping into a window.

Disorderly conduct, language -- June 6, 600 block East Thomas, A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct. She refused to give her name or date of birth, which added additional charges against her.

Assault -- June 6, 200 block Archer, An assault victim, 19, is reported to have been intoxicated to the point that he could not remember who assaulted him.

Assault -- June 6, 400 block North Cleveland, The complainant told police a man punched her in the nose.

Assault -- June 7, 300 block South Grand, An argument over a car led to a husband allegedly assaulting his wife. 

Theft twice -- June 6, 2300 block West Taylor, A resident, 21, told Jones that on May 20 and May 30, people inside his home took two cameras and a handgun. 

Theft over $500 -- June 7, 301 E. U.S. Highway 82 (Radio Shack), Two people stole several electronics from the business.

Theft over $1,500 from city -- June 8, 2043 LaCima Road, Between May 20 and Thursday, somebody took a thermal imager valued at $6,400.

Denison Police

Assault -- A man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and for interference with an emergency call after Denison police responded to a 911 call around midnight on June 6. The dispatcher told officers she could hear yelling and screaming during the emergency call and then lost contact with the woman who was calling to report being assaulted by her husband.

Domestic disturbance -- Police arrested a man for assault causing bodily injury-family violence after receiving a call at 6:22 p.m. on June 4.

The victim told police that her live-in boyfriend had locked her out of the house. When she crawled into the house via a window, she claims the man started hitting her, slapped her in the mouth, hit her in the throat, ripped off her necklace and threw the kids' stuff on the floor. She said he then told her he'd kill her if she called the police.

Theft -- Two blowers, valued at $400, were taken from a trailer the afternoon of June 5 on the 2200 block of West Crawford. 

Burglary -- Burglars pried open a back door to gain entry into a home the afternoon of June 5 in the 1200 block of Oak Drive. Taken were a handgun, an undetermined amount of jewelry, a laptop, a 32-inch LCD flatscreen TV, two chainsaws, and a compound bow.

Burglary -- Several bottles of medication and some flea and tick repellent were taken after someone broke into an animal clinic on West Morton the morning of June 5.
