Sherman Police

Attempted sexual assault -- June 2, 1400 block North Brents, A woman, 23, reported to police that as she walked home from work, a male bicyclist gave her a ride. As they arrived at her residence, the man made unwanted sexual advances toward her.

Church burglarized -- June 2, 300 South Maxey (Community Baptist Church), The church building and a bus were broken into.

Burglary -- June 2, 200 block Kessler, A woman stated her former boyfriend has been stealing items from her for more than a year, but until she found pawn tickets, she had not been able to prove it.

Burglary -- June 2, 100 block East Taylor, Between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, someone broken into a 4-door Honda. Taken were a stereo system, an amp, and two speakers.

Drug arrest -- June 2, 2900 block North U.S. Highway 75, Police stopped to check the welfare of a man asleep in a vehicle. A search of the vehicle netted police five Xanax tablets and the suspect, a Denison man, 35, was arrested on a charge of possession of controlled substance.

Durant Police

Drug arrest -- May 30, Officer Logan Prather. Police found 74 grams of marijuana and jailed three men on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Resistant arrestee -- May 30, Officer Brandon Laxton. Police arrested a woman because of a warrant. She resisted arrest.
