Sherman PoliceAssault, victim and suspect jailed -- May 26, 1600 block West Lamar, Brothers fought and someone called police. The younger brother reported he was walking toward his residence when his older brother assaulted him. Police found out that there was an outstanding warrant against the victim-younger brother, charging him with not paying a fine on a previous conviction of minor in consumption (consuming alcohol.) Police jailed the older brother on a charge of assault causing injury-family violence and the younger brother because of the outstanding warrant.
Assault with injury -- May 22, 1800 block West Washington, A Sherman man, 30, was arrested on an assault causing injury-family violence charge on Friday. He posted $1,500 bonds and was released 35 minutes after completing his book-in process.
Burglary -- May 22, 400 block Hidden Valley Trail, Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took the owner's wallet.
Burglary -- May 26, 109 North Woods, (Tracks). Between 4 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into a restaurant and took a computer, tools and first aid kits.
Burglary -- May 26, 500 block North Travis, Between 3 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into three vehicles.
Burglary -- May 26, 200 North Rusk (Sherman Band Booster), Between 8 p.m. Sunday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone went inside a building and stole a small deep freezer, an air pump, and an appliance dolly.
Burglary -- May 26, 100 block North Woods, Between Thursday and Tuesday, someone broken into an office and stole two guitars and accessories for a combined value of
Card abuse -- May 26, 1000 block North Travis, Between 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Sunday, somebody used a debit card which the owner said she had lost.
Forgery -- May 26, 401 East U.S. Highway 82, (American Bank of Texas) On April 1, someone forged a check belonging to the complainant.
Criminal mischief over $1,500 -- May 26, 126 South Woods (Motor Cars Ltd.), On Tuesday morning, the owner of a business discovered that someone had vandalized every car on his car lot, most by slashing tires.
ICE hold placed on arrestee -- May 26, 1000 block North Travis, The Immigration and Customs Enforcement federal agency served a hold warrant on a Sherman man, and he remains in Grayson County Jail.
Assault with injury -- May 26, 1300 block Mallard, The complainant stated that a tow truck driver who was repossessing a vehicle at the location kicked a scooter at her. It landed on her toe.
