Police reports

Sherman police are investigating the possible attempt to improperly influence a juror in a criminal case. The offense happened Tuesday between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. The report states that the Grayson County District Attorney's Office contacted Halter and said the suspect in this incident is a brother to the man on trial.

Denison Police

Criminal mischief --Nov. 4, 2600 Loy Lake Road, The driver of a larger size white passenger car, possible a Lincoln, drove into the parking lot of a convenience store and started spinning the car in circles. The action knocked up several rocks, which broke several windows in the strip complex.

Theft -- Nov. 3, 7331 FM 691 (Country Corner), Someone stole the copper tubing from the business's air conditioner unit something during October.

Criminal mischief -- Nov. 3, Munson Stadium, A woman told police that while she was parked at a football game, somebody scratched her vehicle, with long scratch marks and offensive wording on it.

Drug arrest -- Nov. 3, 200 block South Myrick, Police arrested a suspect, 34 for using no turn signals and having no liability insurance. Upon searching the vehicle, police found marijuana and prescription pills, not prescribed for the suspect, inside the vehicle. They added charges of possession of marijuana and possession of dangerous drugs to the suspect's other charges.

Assault -- Nov. 1, East Johnson, A family disturbance that began in a residential front yard continued when the man and woman went inside.

Evading arrest -- Nov. 3, 400 block West Sears, One of the two occupants of a vehicle jumped out and ran. Police know his identity and will file charges against him through the D.A.'s Office.

Stolen vehicle recovered -- Nov. 2, 1100 South Armstrong, Police were brought to an apartment complex because of a woman believed to have been intoxicated. The officer found the Grand Prairie woman, 50, inside a 1992 Mazda Protege. Kuhn arrested her on a charge of public intoxication. Then, following procedure, he checked on the vehicle, and found it had been reported stolen from her boyfriend in Florida.

Stolen television -- Nov. 2, 600 block East Monterey, A woman told police that her flat-screen television, valued at $800, was stolen. 

Sherman Police

Theft over $1,500 -- Nov. 4, 4800 block Texoma Parkway, A business owner told police that most of the new merchandise he had secured in the back of his truck was stolen.

Burglary -- Nov. 4, 200 North Bryant, A man told police between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, while he was at work, someone kicked in the back door of his home. Taken was a 46-inch flat-panel television, valued at $1,900.

Shoplifting -- Nov. 4, 1000 N. Travis (Dollar General), Police were called to a theft in progress. The store manager told Woods, he reported, that there were two women inside the store, hiding merchandise in their purses. They then left without paying for the items. Store employees detained them for police.

Assault with deadly weapon -- Nov. 4, 5600 block Texoma Parkway, A man had a woman knock on a door and ask for him. When the man came to the door, he saw the unknown suspect standing in the street with a knife. The man in the street tried to entice the man to the street for a fight. The man called police and the unknown suspect fled.

Assault causing injury -- Nov. 4, 401 E. U.S. Highway 82, Store personnel called police to report that a man inside the store was assaulting the woman with him.  Jail records show police jailed the Howe man, 20, on a charge of assault causing bodily injury-family violence.

Theft over $1,500 -- Nov. 4, 2500 block Texoma Parkway, A woman, 19, told police she had left her truck unlocked, with the keys inside it, and gone into a theater to watch a movie. When the movie was over and she went back to the parking lot, the truck was gone.

Burglary -- Nov. 4, 1400 block S. FM 1417, A complainant told police, according to the report, that he was inside a business for a while, then when he went back outside, he saw that a window was shattered on his passenger truck. Taken was a GPS.

Felon with gun -- Nov. 4, 1600 block W. Washington, A woman was arrested because police could not confirm she had a current driver's license or liability insurance. When police conducted an inventory search of the vehicle before having it towed, he found a gun in the truck, and added a charge of unless possession of firearm by a felon against the suspect. She is in jail charged with violating parole.
