Not to late to find your way
My fellow Texans and citizens of the U.S.A., you have heard that the present president going to lead the U.S.A. in a different direction. Since this country's government was formed on the Judeo-Christian Bible, it has only two ways to go.
The Great God Jehovah gives mankind a choice to believe in His word or not to believe. To believe is everlasting life and peace. To not believe is everlasting damnation with Satan in Hell.
To follow God Jehovah, this country has to change its ways. One of the seven abominations of God is the shedding of innocent blood. There is no blood more innocent than an unborn human baby. Abortion has to be stopped.
The act of sexual relations of man on man or woman on woman is also an abomination to God, lest you forget Sodom and Gomorrah and the law of Moses that those who did such acts were to be stoned to death. These acts are also condemned in the New Testament. We, as God's children, are not supposed to hate any of his creation, but if it's an abomination to God, then it's an abomination to us.
All the morals have decayed in this county in the last 50 years. Divorces, unmarried-born babies, all kinds of vulgar speech and gestures on TV and in the movies, you name it. People have lost respect for each other.
My fellow Americans, you have two choices -- to follow the Word of the Most High God Jehovah or the worldly way of Satan. It's your choice. Which way do you want this country to go?

Thank you for your comments. Your words represented my own opinions to a 'T'. Though I did not feel I could express them as well. Much of what you say, I would think many religous folks would be the first to say. History is full of peoples persecuted in their old country that immigrated here for that freedom. Ladies and gentlemen, let's be kind and patient with one another. Oh yes, I fear the deaths and suffering in Iraq, Afganistan and others are considered less important than we as American christians are.
Thanks again
gay marriage : 11/15/2009
Many married couples cannot reproduce either due to fertility problems. Does that make their marriage any less than others? Your argument is just another attempt to try to justify denying gay couples the right to marry. Truth is hundreds of gay marriages are performed in Texas each year in gay churches. No laws can stop that. The laws can only be used to deny the 1,100 legal rights offered to straight couples. These are the same rights Brittany Spears got in her 24 hour farce of a marriage but are denied my partner and me after 30 years together.

Acceptance : 11/9/2009
Instead of asking for tolerance, Christians should practice acceptance just as Jesus did. Jesus said, "Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone." This gentleman appears to endorse stoning of sinners, and that was something Jesus abhorred. I do not believe in heaven or hell, and don't I have the same rights and priviliges that you do? I believe the Constitution protects my right to worship or not as I see fit. You don't get to force your God down my throat, and I respect your right to worship Him. I accept you, without condition, and you have to accept me too. If you are right and I am wrong, how will that affect you in heaven? Please tell me how the blood of innocent civilians shed in the course of these two wars are less important than unborn babies? The writer makes no mention of the thousands of civilians, men, women, children, and even babies, killed in Iraq and Afghanistan every day. More to the point, what of our soldiers laying down their lives and limbs every day for this debacle? What about the blood they have shed? The arguments against homosexuality are the same ones made against interracial marriage 30-40 years ago. Today we see that as ridiculous. At least most of us do. Everyone in this country is entitled to the same civil rights, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. I have not lost respect for you, my fellow human, but it seems that you have no respect for me. Just because I do not believe in your God, I still respect you. I have taught my children to respect all people and beliefs, and have you done the same? I have taught my children that they should follow their hearts, and question everything, have you? Or have you taught them blind faith? Instead of telling them what to believe, I have sent them to church and let them decide. I have provided them with all the information I could give them, and let them make their own choices. I have supported their choices, have you? Or have you shunned your family and cast them out for their truths? Love and respect and caring for our fellow man will carry us through these trying times. Look into your hearts and listen to the people around you. Ask yourself what it would be like if you had been born into a different set of circumstances. Find compassion instead of condemnation. It is truly What Jesus Would Do.

Hateful Bigot : 11/9/2009
I am shocked at the statements made by Mr.Nowlin. In this day and age, it is shocking and worrisome that there are people running loose that think with such hatred of their fellow man. Do you really believe Jesus would have shunned someone such as the right wingers do? No! Jesus loved his fellow man regardless. Regardless of race, creed, or political affiliation. What's even scarier is I believe Mr. Nowlin is referring to the Jehovah Witness cult. In that , case, I don't want to hear ANYTHING he has to say!

Fun Fact! : 11/9/2009
Actually, lesbian relationships are never mentioned in the Bible. And the words usually translated to justify condemnation of homosexuality, in context and with a proper grasp of the linguistics, refer to pedophilia. Abortion is never mentioned in the Bible. Educate yourself on your own religion. As faith is, by definition, not provable, you cannot with any certainty say that any of us will go to hell. You can believe it, go right ahead, but you can't legislate it. Because of people like you, I've left the Christian faith, and will not be going back. Frankly, if heaven is populated by the right wing extremists, I'd rather go to hell.

disgusting remarks : 11/8/2009
I am a proud gay man made in the image of God. How dare you condemn me and my millions of gay brothers and sisters. Stop using the bible as a weapon. There is a lot of stuff in the bible that is just wrong and evil such as the putting to death of a child who curses father or mother. Indeed the Leviticus code was long ago realized to be flawed with the language of hate. How dare you to question our president's moral direction because he has shown a more compassionate reach to the World we live in. How dare you to condemn the act of abortion but not speak a word about the launching of an immoral war and the subsequent loss of tens of thousands of innocent lives. And where is the condemnation of the taking of lives in the death chamber? My fellow Americans you do have a choice. Follow the hate of the right wing fundamentalists or embrace the true teachings of Jesus Christ and learn to love one another.
Gay and proud!
