S&S CISD to hold public dicussion on bond election

As Nov. 3 draws nearer the S&S Board is preparing for the bond election that if passed will address overcrowding on the campus and help get students out of portable buildings, S&S Superintendent Robert Steeber said in previous interviews.

So at 6:30 p.m. Monday, the board will hold a special meeting where members of the public can voice their thoughts on the bond and during which the board will discuss the bond.

The meeting will be held in the S&S Elementary Cafeteria, 4217 Elementary Dr., in Southmayd and is open to the public.

Seriously?? : 10/26/2009
Wow, Reality. You sure know what's going on don't you?!? "Reality" is that all the other students in the S & S CISD shouldn't have to suffer because of your ignorance. If you didn't have room for four kids, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD FOUR KIDS!!!! Ignorance breeds ignorance and personally I feel sorry for your kids. I am a single mother of three. I work 40 hours a week and I'm a full time student. Even I can afford $11 a month so that my kids can learn in a class room and not a portable building. I for one will be voting in favor of the Bond proposal. Our kids need it. They need things and we as a community should do everything we can to give it to them. So quit your whining, suck it up and show your kids you support them!!

Voice Our Thoughts? : 10/25/2009
What difference will it make? This is a waste of time. Nothing will change one iota. If 500 people show up in favor, or if 500 show up against, what will change? Nothing. I have no doubt that there may be valid school issues, but this is not the time. My house is overcrowded as well. We have four kids and three bedrooms and really could use two more rooms. However, times are tight around here and it will just have to wait until we are in a better economic situation. These schools have no concept of that as they are completely funded with taxpayer money. I think the only thoughts that really count will be voiced at the voting booths.
