Accident shuts down U.S. Highway 75/69 near Colbert, Okla.

Northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75/69 just north of Colbert, Okla. were shut down, one of which for nearly a full day, after a construction vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon. The highway was opened around 3 p.m.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the outside northbound lane was closed after a construction vehicle used for painting highway lines was toppled spilling approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel Wednesday afternoon. Crews worked overnight to clean the spill and both northbound lanes were closed for three hours Thursday afternoon while crews righted the truck.
