The Prayer Bears Ministry headquartered in Sherman is in need of volunteers. A promoting-marketing person who can help effectively get information out to the public is needed, said Executive Director Terri Krawitz.
Also needed are volunteers to help with computer activity, office duties, organizational work, sewing the bears and adding details.
Krawitz started the Prayer Bears Ministry in 1993. The ministry's sole purpose is to distribute Prayer Bears to those who are in crisis (whether it is spiritual or physical). The Prayer Bears are handmade by volunteers and come with a special message of comfort, love, peace and hope.
Also needed by this ministry are:

* felt-like material for interface (not stuffing) for these bears;
* donations to offset the costs of making bears for deployed military personnel and their family members, cancer patients, community outreach to groups like the Crisis Center, Boot Camp, Four Rivers Outreach and many more.
