Quest continues After weeks of searching and trying, I finally got an e-mail this week from Jon Bon Jovi's tour publicist.
Regular readers of this column know I am trying to get just a few minutes of time from Mr. Bon Jovi and his song writing partner Richie Sambora to ask them a few questions for a feature I want to run the week before their Dallas shows in April. To date, I have had help from some wonderful local folks, but still no interview.
The reply from the tour publicist is the good news. The bad news is that she didn't seem to think an interview would be possible. She did offer to send me the transcript of a teleconference Mr. Sambora and Tico Torres did earlier in the tour, and she provided the paper with a couple of good photos of Mr. Bon Jovi and the band.
I responded saying I would love to see the transcript, but I still really wanted the interview. I have not heard back from her since that message.
Maybe that means my quest to talk to Bon Jovi is over. Maybe it means she has just gotten busy working with journalist in the towns the band is currently playing and some day soon, it will be my turn.
Either way, I am determined not to give up. In the book "When We Were Beautiful," Jon Bon Jovi said his wife always says of his desire to do things, "Will. You just will it to happen." Well, I am willing this interview to happen. I will just keep knocking and knocking and knocking on that door until someone opens it.
