Christmas is over but not finished at the Godwin house. We still have special friends and family with whom we haven't exchanged gifts. Theoretically, the gifts should have already been wrapped and placed under the tree, but in this case, they aren't. I took a priority approach to wrapping gifts this year since the first wrapping didn't begin until Dec. 23 and that was a bottle of cologne for my husband that the store gift wrapped for me.

I ran into Blake Moore and his wife Laura while doing some last-minute Christmas shopping Dec. 23. They were describing some of what they'll be doing for Christmas and that involves traveling to one set of parents for Christmas and then coming home to repack and wrap more gifts so they can travel to be with a second set of parents. Since they have a new baby, I'm sure both sets of parents are serious about their grandparent time with both the Moore children.

I did most of my wrapping Christmas eve after church. So, of course, I wrapped only those gifts that would be exchanged Christmas day. Consequently, all my wrapping projects are still out in the open.

Our biggest and best Christmas gift came a few days before Christmas and it wasn't wrapped. It was news from Dr. Thomas that my husband, Billy Wayne, does not have cancer. We were really sweating that one.
