Many people are looking for ways to celebrate the Christmas holiday outside of the home. North Texas has many opportunities for people to wear their red, green and sparkly attire. Whether you would like to spend some time outdoors or indoors, here are five events where get into the holiday spirit this weekend.

1. Tour of lights

The annual Holiday Lights at Loy Lake is still open for viewing and with Christmas next week, this weekend is a great opportunity to drive through the tour of lights. The tour is free, but donations are accepted. This lights display changes every year and this year features all LED lights. Turn on some holiday tunes and take a ride through Loy Lake near Frontier Village at 111 RC Vaughan Road in Denison. The display will be open for viewing starting at dusk and will be open for patrons through New Year’s Eve.
