This is the third column on the history of Grayson County. We started in 1700 and followed the events up to Sherman being named the county seat of Grayson County. Last Wednesday’s column followed events up to 1872 when the first train, the Missouri, Kansas & Texas, crossed Red River. We will continue our listing here as until we run out of room for this Sunday column.
We will close for now and pick up with 1924 in the next column. I’m sure there are some important happenings that we’re not including thus far, but hitting the highlights is about all we have space for.
