Shooting sends one man to hospital, another to jail

<p>VAN ALSTYNE -- Van Alstyne police jailed Lee Andrew Rabon, 52, on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon this past week, after a shooting incident in the 800 block of East Marshall.
</p>

<p>Police Lt. Tim Barnes said that about 11:30 p.m. on June 21, officers were called to a residence because of a shooting. The victim, whose name is not being released by police, was at a friend's home. He and Rabon had gotten into an argument near Rabon's home. Barnes said Rabon left the argument, then returned with a handgun. He is accused of shooting the victim, 34, in the abdomen with a .38-caliber round. The bullet went through the victim's mid-section.

<p>Van Alstyne EMS had the victim airlifted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas, and Barnes said he has since been released.
</p>

<p>Rabon made statements regarding his involvement in the incident, after which police booked him into the Grayson County Jail on June 22. <br></p><p>On June 23, he posted $50,000 bond.
