We got this e-mail list titled "Funny quotes from famous people," and what we found was a mixture of comics' gag lines and some real bloopers.


<p>For instance, Dan Quayle quoted as saying, "If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure." Or Harry Truman saying, "Always be sincere, even if you don't mean it."
</p>

<p>Then again, there are things on the list like comedienne Roseanne Barr's quote, "Women complain about PMS, but I think of it as the only time I can be myself." Or actress Mae West saying, "It's better to be looked over than overlooked."
</p>

<p>Here are some more of the best we found:

<p>Baseball's Dizzy Dean, explaining how he felt after being hit on the head by a ball in the 1934 World Series: "The doctors X-rayed my head and found nothing."
</p>

<p>"I'm free of all prejudices," said comic actor W.C. Fields. "I hate everyone equally."
</p>

<p>"I'm not afraid of death," said actor/writer/director Woody Allen. "I just don't want to be there when it happens."
</p>

<p>Singer Frank Sinatra: "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They wake up in the morning and that's the best they are going to feel all day."
</p>

<p>And then there's singer Britney Spears: "I get to go lots of overseas places, like Canada."
</p>
